Scottex Toilet Paper : Prison

“Extra long. Extra strong.”

I was watching a television debate on Advertising few days back. One of the panelist was shouting from the roof top saying most advertisements are unethical as they exaggerate.

Now who doesn’t know that exaggeration is a part of advertisement. You can’t take everything literally. It is foolish to assume that consumers are naive enough to believe everything that is told to them.

There is something called creative freedom and humor. Take the example of this campaign. Obviously the toilet paper can’t be that strong to help you escape but it gives me a smile and makes me aware of the brand. Therein lies the success of the agency.

Agency: Duval Guillaume, Antwerp
