Indus Pride : Beer Mug

To popularize SAB Miller India’s new brand of non-alcoholic beer, Indus Pride, as a refresher and thirst quencher, they chose low-cost handles of airport transit buses as their medium. It was released in March ‘10, a peak vacation season when travel via airports increases by 50%.

Devassa Beer : Paris Hilton

The advert features Paris Hilton in a short black dress dancing around with Devassa
Beer to the delight of onlookers watching through her window. This ad apparently
devalues women - in particular, blonde women and too hot to handle according to
Brazil’s Secretariat for Women’s Affairs.

It’s a debate whether banning something serves the purpose or in fact is counter
productive as it get’s more publicity. But, to me it’s a nothing ad with no substance.
Just by having some beautiful women in an ad without any connection with product
doesn’t make it any better. If you want to ban then ban the very idea of sex sells
however you present for whatever you want.
