Wonderbra : Safety Line

April 3, 2008 – 12:45 pm by Bibhuti | No Comments »

Wonderbra Yellow Safety Line

Agency: Euro RSCG, Singapore
Art Director: Wee Loi
Copywriter: Uma Rudd Chia

This ambient idea plays on the yellow safety line at above-the-ground MRT stations, wich tells people how far from the track they need to stand to be safe. A second yellow line was used to demonstrate that, with the bust-enhancing effects of Wonderbra, those who use the product need to be even farther back.

Amul Macho : Orangutan

March 2, 2008 – 1:02 pm by Bibhuti | No Comments »

Agency: Saints & Warrior, India

Controversy sells and it seems nobody knows this better than the Amul Macho guys. The last campaign of Amul Macho generated quite some controversy and there was demand to ban that advertisement. Instead of being discouraged by the criticism, they have come up with a sequel in the same theme “Crafted for fantasies“. This makes me think that the last campaign did help their sell figures and if thats the case then who cares for creativity and aestheticism.

This advertisement shows a male orangutan playing with the Amul Macho underwear and in the process impressing the female counterpart. I will refrain from describing the whole storyline in detail as it’s definitely not worth your time. The expression, the attempted sexual undercurrent and the line ‘Yeh toh bada toing hai‘ ( What the hell it means? ) are offensive. There should be always some grace when dealing with sexual content in India as the whole family tend to watch television together.
