Football Resistance : Split Personality

On June 18th, 2006 a collective of football fans, journalists and advertisers issued a call to fight violence and racism in soccer through the operation “Football Résistance”. This year CLM BBDO is speaking out again with a new campaign entitled Split Personality. Carried by the magazine So Foot, the campaign spotlights the phenomenon of split personalities to raise football supporters’ awareness of violence and racism on the terraces.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Advertisements

February 15, 2011 – 11:36 am by Bibhuti | 2 Comments »

The buzz is in the air, after all it’s Cricket World Cup 2011 and that too being played in the Indian subcontinent. The Indian news channels have gone crazy and are running special programs in prime time featuring all the past greats talking and analyzing every little details. You can’t really blame them as money talks.

India is a cricket crazy nation and roughly 70% of the global revenues from the game is generated from Indian advertisers and sponsors. With the TRP of the cricket matches being so high and Indian players being treated as rock stars by people, it’s not surprising that all the brands invest so heavily in advertisements. Also, I think the game of Cricket is tailor-made for TV advertisements. No other game in the world can probably give 1-2 minutes break for broadcasting ads every 5-6 minutes at the end of each over.

The real game begins on 19th Feb but the game of promotion and marketing has already started. Here is a collection of cute world cup mascot Stumpy the elephant, official theme song & promo and some print & TV commercials.
