I came across this old Complan commercial featuring Shahid kapoor and Ayesha Takia. I remember watching this ad long long back on Sunday mornings in the good old days of Neev and Fauji.
Check the last shot, where both the kid are holding the Complan Mugs and smiling. No doubt they are Shahid and Ayesha.

First sprite did it, and now its Pepsi’s turn. Fight guys fight, we are loving it.
In my opinion, this ad is quite average. Original youngistan ad (featuring Deepika and Ranbir) was an average stuff but its spoof by Sprite was brilliant, it was funny.
But in case of Thums Up, the original ad featuring Akshay Kumar driving a car was a good ad, this spoof by Pepsi is kind of amateurish. While the Thums Up ad appeals to Men (and women too, who love their men to be men), this Pepsi ad might appeal high school kids :-), but surely not men.
Not all Pepsi commercials, this season have been boring. Check out the new Pepsi - Mind it commercial, featuring YUM YUM YUS Dhoni. Thats how Pepsi ads should be.

This is a couple of years old TV Commercial for Peugeot. I somehow remembered it tonight and hence posting it. This is one of those unique ads which is fully Indian but made for European market.
I know that some of us may not take it in good taste, but its a matter of opinion. Personally, I enjoyed it.
This could easily have been used to sell Tata Indica to all the Ambassador taxi owners, a few years back !
I love the music in the end. If anyone knows that song, do let us know.

I love this one. Animation for this ad is way too good and upto the global standards. Happy to see such good animated ads in India.

These are the kind of ads that I would love to see between the over breaks instead of the Vodafone Happy to Help Pug which irritates you after every over bowled in IPL. (Not that it is a bad ad, but they are showing is way too many times. It simply irritates now.)
Anyways, coming back to Neo Sports and the ad agency involved here, this is one helluva job !!

“Cricket Simplified”
How come we did not spot this one till date ? We love anything with Rajnikanth in it. I don’t know about you, but I really enjoyed this ad. We have seen some really great ads for Neo Sports in the past (like the Tension ad that we showcased in our top 10 ads for 2007.)
There are quite a few Neo Sport ads in Cricket Simplified series. All off them are pretty good. But this one stands out.
I also liked the one below.

I wonder, how come we missed such good ads.
I will get more details one who is behind these Neo Sport ads and update you guys. This is great work. These are way better than all the IPL ads, with film stars dancing to some shitty music.

“Subhiksha Mobile: Tell Him To Call 60607777 !!”

This is what we call ‘Ek Teer se Do Shikar’ (two strikes with one arrow). This is a pleasant and effective ad. This commercial repeats customer care number many times, without irritating the viewer (which is commendable).
I am very sure that many of us will definitely call this number to inquire about the price of a given model of mobile. Now if their customer care is as good as their ad, I am sure, this would definitely give them good business. I think that this new concept is here to stay and we will see many more companies advertising their customer care numbers.
Vodafone guys, please learn something from this ad. At least you should show your customer care number (have a separate number for new customers) in your new ‘Happy to Help’ ad. Not everyone has a pug

Totally Refreshing!!! Totally Southie Isstyle!!!
Of all the youngistan ads, this is a winner. There can be no one who has not been awed by Rajinikanth’s screen presence. This commercial emulates to an extent Rajini’s screen antics and surely does it well.
The “voice over” dubbing done for I YUM YUM YUS DHONI totally syncs with Dhoni’s persona. Everything about the ad was good - be it the facial hair style, the sun glasses, be it the decoration along the edges of the band. The ultimate was the ‘Cigarette look-alike’ thing turning into a straw. Kudos to the creative director behind it. Awesome!!!
