Vodafone : Symphonia

If you can’t think of ways to sell your brand by it’s features then create something unique, beautiful and associate with it. Vodafone Newzealand did that precisely by reconstructing the Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture using 1000 mobile phones and 2000 texts. It took them 53 different ringtone alerts and a lot of practice to create the Symphonia. It’s one of those things which is bound to spread virally.

I have no doubt in my mind that Newton would have committed suicide if he had seen this video. For people who don’t know Rajnikanth on whom this character is based, he is the biggest superstar of Tamil cinema and famous to do unbelievable stunts on screen. Simply hilarious campaign!!

KitKat : Site Where Nothing Happens

“Have a break.”

KitKat has come up with a smart and refreshing idea which goes on well with their punch line Have a break. They claim to have a website where nothing happens. There is no link from the page, no content apart from KitKat logo/punch line and the following message.

“If you detect something happening here it’s probably a bug and we’ll try to fix it. Please report any incident to thefirstworldwidewebsitewerenothinghappens@thefirstworldwidewebsitewere
nothinghappens.com. When confirmed you’ll be rewarded.”

This is a great cost-effective campaign and I am sure it is going to spread wildly in cyber world.

I love this one. Animation for this ad is way too good and upto the global standards. Happy to see such good animated ads in India.

These are the kind of ads that I would love to see between the over breaks instead of the Vodafone Happy to Help Pug which irritates you after every over bowled in IPL. (Not that it is a bad ad, but they are showing is way too many times. It simply irritates now.)

Anyways, coming back to Neo Sports and the ad agency involved here, this is one helluva job !!
