Never let their toys die.
The world’s longest lasting battery.
Energizer

Seeing these visuals there is a very high chance that you might say to yourself: “Hold on a second, that’s precisely me when I was a kid.” These naughty and cute acts of kids have been brilliantly exploited by the agency for the campaign of a battery.

The brief given to agency was to increase sales of Energizer Lithium Batteries over the Christmas period. Target audience being parents, due to the amount of batteries being purchased over the Christmas period, namely for toys.

And how well the message was sent to the parents. Keep the kids occupied with their toys using long lasting battery and relax. Nice work.

With every FHM magazine came along a decoy/disguise cover of some fictional and mundane magazine. Slip the cover on and read it anytime, anywhere without attracting awkward glares. Read it at the bus stop, the dining table, the church…

GMR Group : Cricket

February 21st, 2008 by Shiva | Email This | 3 Comments »

Getting ready for India means getting ready to live in India, be it for short period or long. When you go to any country, you learn to live as per the country’s tradition and way of life. This is the best way to have an wonderful experience.

The new GMR series of ads convey the point just right. This ad is about how a family in Tokyo, Japan is getting ready for India by playing cricket. The son is ready to bowl to her mother when the father watches on TV an Indian cricketer shining the ball and taking his run up to delivering the ball. The father then advises the son to bowl as per what he saw on TV.

This ad is funny but more than that this ad shows that willingness of people to learn the indian sport. The phrase ‘GMR - Getting India Ready‘ is not only for people in India with good buildings, better infrastructure and sound foundations, but also opening India’s arms to accept guests and promising them a wonderful time.

Mentos : Monkey and Donkey

February 19th, 2008 by Bibhuti | Email This | No Comments »

Agency : O&M, India

Do you remember the Darwin’s theory of evolution you studied in school ? No need to worry if you don’t. This animated campaign will give you a different theory on the evolution of man.

The ad starts with a ’slave’ monkey pulling the ‘master’ donkey on a wooden plank. The monkey finds a Mentos on the way but the donkey dismisses it with a grunt when he asks him about it. The monkey tries his luck and put the Menots into his mouth which triggers the evolution. The next sequences will show the monkey to learn hunting, clothing, making fire and inventing wheel. And finally the monkey, now a ‘Man’, meets his old friend and the role is reversed with the donkey pulling him on a cart.

This is a continuation of the earlier Mentos advertisements with the theme “Dimaag ki Batti Jala De“. The evolution starts after monkey’s brain is enlightened by Mentos. Though there is not much logic (No complain), it is funny to watch and will specially be liked by young people.

Trivia : Where did the Mentos come from if man was not evolved then ?

This is a simple,cost-effective guerilla campaign for Swiss International Air Lines. Snow covered cars are parked in big cities of Germany on a bright sunny day promoting their low fare package starting at Euro 99. This is bound to generate curiosity and the kind of idea which makes you think why it didn’t come to my mind.
