Before you wonder what this ad is for, let me tell that this is a 2008 new year greeting card created by Objects Advertising in Jordan. The picture features the year “2007″ in Arabic and the number 7 is selected to be rotated 180 degrees which will become 8 after rotation(In Arabic, 7 and the 8 have the same shape only have opposite directions) and hence “2008″. Smart idea to wish Happy New Year 2008.
Maggi : 2 Minutes
January 5th, 2008 by Bibhuti | Email This | No Comments »We all remember the television commercial of Maggi from Doordarshan days. The kid cries “Mummy bhook lagi” after coming back from school and the mom says “Bus do minute”. Maggi has become synonymous with 2 minutes (Instant ready) to such an extent that when Sourav Ganguly was terribly out of form the joke going around was:
How to Cook Maggie?
4 simple steps to cook Maggi noodles.
Step 1: boil one cup of water.
Step 2: as soon as ganguly goes for batting, put the noodles in the boiled water and put the tastemaker.
Step 3: stir till ganguly is onfield.
Step 4: As soon as ganguly is back in pavilion, your noodles r ready to eat.
Quit Smoking : Adidas
January 4th, 2008 by Bibhuti | Email This | 1 Comment »My version of this ad:
The first cigarette which is almost finished should be shown lighted. The second one should be shown as half finished and put out. And the the last one should be shown a full one and not being lighted at all. The idea is to portray transition between three phases from ’smoking’ to ‘trying to quit’ to ‘quit’. Any takers ?

Many will argue that how this highlighter is different from others and my answer will be, it is not. All the highlighters will do just the same thing, but it all depends how you sell it. If you can attract consumer’s attention, generate curiousity or make them smile by a campaign then its going to work. This ad does that by making a funny line by highlighted words.
