Johnson Fans : Suicide

Johnson Fans : Suicide

It defies logic. It defies gravity. It defies sanity. But it makes the point about the product smartly. I hesitated a bit before posting it and would like to know what you think about this ad.

Great creative, but I would never run an ad like this.

Very creative concept but something I personally did not like considering its showing suicide as the intended idea.

It’s a great ad. But it’s offensive. And I’ve sure very offensive to anyone who knows someone who has hung themselves (or maybe even committed suicide).

I’d rather see a similar ad with a little kid in a cape flying in the wind of the fan (I’ll be wanting a commission on that suggestion).

But I’m sure someone would say that kids shouldn’t play with fans…

    All,
Thanks for your feedback. I would definitely love to see more of these.

I think we all are agree that it’s good creativity but offensive. But the very reason that we are discussing this ad is because of this extreme execution. Had it not been the suicide then we all might have just ignored it. So from the agency perspective their campaign is successful. Morality is a different subject altogether. It’s not an ideal world anyway:)
