Advertising with Mona Lisa

Probably the above logic applies to the masterpieces as well. Mona Lisa has been used by advertising world more than any other piece of art. Leonardo da Vinci, up there somewhere, must be thinking; What have I done wrong that my masterpiece is twisted to sell anything and everything, from shampoo to marker to car and what not.
