Eichborn : Flyvertising

When you think that you have seen enough of unconventional guerilla marketing techniques, someone is out there to shock you and prove you wrong. Can you imagine attaching tiny advertising banners to flies and let them buzz around to market your product? Yes, it indeed was done in a convention center during the Frankfurt book fair by German agency Jung von Matt for client Eichborn, which is a publishing company and whose logo is a fly.

The key here is to shock the people and make them take notice. The word of mouth publicity will follow automatically later. An adhesive that naturally dissolves was used to attach the banner so as not to hurt the fly. But, it’s definitely not going to please the animal rights groups.

Agency: Jung von Matt, Germany
