SAVE : Don’t Be That Guy
November 25th, 2010 by Bibhuti | Email This“Just because you help her home doesn’t mean you get to help yourself.”
“Just because she isn’t saying no doesn’t mean she’s saying yes.”
SAVE (Sexual Assault Voices of Edmonton) has launched an outdoor and print advertising campaign focusing on the issue of alcohol-facilitated sexual assaults. This campaign’s message is simple: Sex without consent is sexual assault.
I strongly feel such public awareness campaigns should be encouraged as at some level, whatever tiny it might be, it makes an impact. Although this is targeted for males between the ages of 18 to 24, I hope the message is absorbed by females too. Why be in that position of drunken state in first place to make yourselves vulnerable?
