I am not so sure about love at first sight but I am damn sure about the
impact of first impression in any field and more so in marketing. It’s a
war out there in market where most of the brands more or less provide
the same features or services. The thing that decides the winner is the
marketing strategy which can make people curious enough to first read
the advertisement and the product features are automatically covered
later in the process. That’s where an innovative and inquisitive business
card can play an important role in attacking the subconscious mind of
consumers. Business cards might be an ancient tool of marketing but if
done creatively can still give good returns. Here is a collection of some
cool and innovative business cards.
What can be better than giving away business cards having ‘wet’ effect
for a diving instructor? Simple and striking.
A business card for a dentist, made of metal and a corner bitten off. Not
sure how cost effective it is but definitely eye catching.
Why not make the business card itself “Sundial” if the client is an antique
watch collector. Not bad, not bad at all.
A calibrated business card for a builder. Smart.
Your paint coming off? No worries, you have Agrie Paint Services.
The first rule of wilderness survival is preparation. That’s why BC Adventure
wanted to make sure everyone who stepped through their door left at least
a little more prepared for the wild. Made from organic beef jerky this laser
etched card is good to eat for up to a year in case you find yourself stuck
in a precarious situation.
The business card was stamped using lemon juice as ink, however the
only visible copy on the card is ‘grill me’. After grilling the card against
fire, the scientific effect between heat and lemon juice will cause the
stamped message to appear. The message is the name and contact
detail of a steak resturant called BKK grill.
A business card made of sandpaper to create a unique brand identity of
Finishing school.
Breaking is always easy but how to break with minimum damage and
maximun gain? Well, you have the specialised divorce laywers for that.
Perforated business card demonstrating the expertise of breaking.
Give a little taste of what will follow later. Expandable rubber is used to
make the business card for personal trainer and you need to use your
strength to read the number.
The old is new now. A brilliant idea to reuse old business card for a second
hand shop.

You would have seen many innovative business cards, but this one is unique. A business card for a dentist, made of metal and a corner bitten off. Not sure how cost effective it is but definitely eye catching.

Challenge:
Create a business card for a diving instructor.
Solution:
Diving is a very small & niche market. This gave us the liberty to manually create the ‘wet’ effect on each card. The recepients instantly got the message about our client’s passion for diving and the fact that he was in the ocean most of the time.
Result:
The diving class was fully booked up to 4 months in advance.
