Nothing will surprise me anymore. Everybody knows that sex sells in advertising, but this marketing stunt for female clothing line XOXO in New York is crossing the line way too much.

The scene in a young woman’s apartment is recreated in a holiday window display where two “living mannequins” models try on clothes, flip through magazines and even paint each other’s fingernails. After dark they switch to evening wear and spend hours getting dressed for a night on the town. All in front of curious onlookers.

Wonderbra : Handful

Get your audience involved and be successful. Wonderbra has launched a new interactive campaign where they invited women of all shapes and sizes to attend an open photoshoot. It got a huge response and more than a thousand women attended the day, while more girls emailed their images.

The final image of Wonderbra model Katie Green for the billboard was created using shots of around 8,000 images of women in their bras. Wonderbra’s website has an online version of the billboardwhich allows the women involved in the shoot to zoom in on their image to have an “Eva moment”.

Feed the audience with a little surprise, generate curiousity and they will be yours. This ambient campaign for Grazia magazine does that efficiently. Two models sported dresses made from a single issue of Grazia magazine during London Fashion Weekend which is bound to raise some eyebrows.
