KitKat : Wimbeldon’s Epic Match

“Have a break. Have a KitKat.”

Be it sports or life, timing is everything. KitKat definitely knows it and has smartly exploited the longest ever professional tennis match to their advantage. KitKat’s UK ad agency JWT London says they had came up with this poster within an hour of the finish of the epic set between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut which ended at 70-68.

KitKat : Site Where Nothing Happens

February 4, 2009 – 2:15 pm by Bibhuti | No Comments »

KitKat : Nothing Happens

“Have a break.”

KitKat has come up with a smart and refreshing idea which goes on well with their punch line Have a break. They claim to have a website where nothing happens. There is no link from the page, no content apart from KitKat logo/punch line and the following message.

If you detect something happening here it’s probably a bug and we’ll try to fix it. Please report any incident to thefirstworldwidewebsitewerenothinghappens@thefirstworldwidewebsitewere
nothinghappens.com. When confirmed you’ll be rewarded.

This is a great cost-effective campaign and I am sure it is going to spread wildly in cyber world.

This ad is a fine example of simple and effective advertising. Use of two KitKat bars as a pause symbol effectively communicates the idea of ‘Have a Break, Have a KitKat’. Another beauty of this ad is that it is a universal ad. It can be effectively used anywhere across the world.
